Hmm, just got round to looking at the Wittek/Thiele paper.
Interesting is right. I have the greatest of respect for both Helmut
and Gunther, but paper isn't really up to their normal, very high,
standards. Just two mentions of (higher order) Ambisonics and no
inclusion of it in the comparison

Actually, the most important thing is that the list/forum/whatever and its
archive is held somewhere that can be considered reliable long-term. This
list satisfies that; Facebook, to my mind, does not (being too consumer
oriented, and therefore subject to the vagaries of fashion). This
are s 90s.
