While at NAB2014 in Las Vegas earlier this week I stumbled upon a small company
(http://www.video-stitch.com/) with a 360 degree video product offering. Their
product was actually software running on a computer that stitches together the
streams from four video cameras.

I recall this camera cluster being used for the Lincoln Sound and Vision
production with that odd four faced binaural dummy head.

We're doing this kind of video recording and Rift playback, using a
TetraMic for the audio. Ambisonics seems to be the only sane choice for
this kind of material. The only other VR application I've encountered that
uses it was at the Stanford VR lab. Our recent press coverage has lots of
shots
