Is it possible that samba in suse 6 may be more slowly than 5.3 ?
I needed to return to the samba version included in 5.3 because my clipper
aplication run very slowly in new version of samba.
Have Anybody experience the same ?

excuseme for my ignorance but what i need enable and configure in a suse 6.0
server , which it 's working how a samba server for 3 win95 clients , TO ENABLE
the posibility of each win95 client to navigate trough the same internet
conection in the server ?

The problem is the file /etc/ppp/options , have a "lock" option , delet
it and try again with kppp
I just upgrade my system to Suse 6.0 and have this problem.

I 'm using SAMBA in a linux SERVER (suse 5.3) , and having some
problems with the velocity of execution of a program DOS from a win95
client (TCP/IP protocol) .
Checking the NET with "PING" the time for a packet of 64 bytes is 0.5
ms from any terminal .
which implicates a net velocity of 600
