[SuSE Linux] samba in 6.0 more slowly than in 5.3 ?

Is it possible that samba in suse 6 may be more slowly than 5.3 ? I needed to return to the samba version included in 5.3 because my clipper aplication run very slowly in new version of samba. Have Anybody experience the same ? -- Bruno Luciani Brawnius Tecnologia y Servicios Buenos Aires

I 'm using SAMBA in a linux SERVER (suse 5.3) , and having some problems with the velocity of execution of a program DOS from a win95 client (TCP/IP protocol) . Checking the NET with "PING" the time for a packet of 64 bytes is 0.5 ms from any terminal . which implicates a net velocity of 600
