Friends, Pramilla Malick, along with fellow activist Maddie Shaw and actor/activist James Cromwell, spent time in jail last week for opposing the gruesome CPV (Competitive Power Ventures, aka Corrupt Power Vultures, partial photo of this monstrosity here<https://imd.veooz.com/0M/KE/0M8aGKE-large.jpg>) power plant in the famed “black dirt region” of our state.
Pramilla, James, Maddie, and others are begging for our help to actually shut this polluting eyesore down. It can still be done, if Cuomo feels enough pressure. Do these three things as Pramilla asks; they’re easy and won’t take much time: Sign, call, join. And please call Cuomo daily, per #2 below (to keep from having more number 2 heaped upon us!). Thanks for this and for all you do, Maura From: Pramilla Malick <stop...@gmail.com<mailto:stop...@gmail.com>> Dear Friends and Neighbors: Please do three easy things to help save several New York communities as well as the climate. These three things will help us stop the 650MW climate-killing CPV fracked-gas power plant and all of its related infrastructure, which includes new pipelines, compressor stations, and metering stations that will destroy several towns in the Delaware and Hudson Valleys as well as our children's future. 1- Sign and share this petition here<https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/governor-cuomo-pull-the-plug-on-cpv-reject-the-401-water-permit> by Actor James Cromwell who just went to jail to protect us from this catastrophic project. 2- Call Governor Cuomo, 518-474-8390<tel:(518)%20474-8390>, and ask him to reject the 401 Water permits for the Valley Lateral Pipeline and the Eastern System Upgrade. Then tell him to be a climate leader and pull the plug on CPV. 3-Please join us<http://eepurl.com/cVF-jj> by subscribing and forward this email to everyone you can. The end of August is a hard deadline for final permits. We really need you now. We have only a few weeks left to stop this! Thank You!
