Heavy snowfall from Winter Storm Riley has forced the suspension of curbside recycling collection in Tompkins County for Friday, March 2nd, 2018.
Routes that were not completed today will attempt to be picked up tomorrow, Saturday, March 3rd. Further updates on the status of curbside recycling collection will be posted to the Recycling and Materials Management website at www.recycletompkins.org. Residents also have the choice of taking their recyclables to the Recycling and Solid Waste Center at 160 Commercial Avenue in Ithaca. Both the RSWC and the Department of Recycling and Materials are open their regular hours today. The recycling center is also open Saturday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
