Using Plants for Natural Dyes

Natural dyes can be made from many wild and cultivated plants, and also from 
common foods. Textile artists Sarah Gotowka (Luna Fibers) and Tracy McLellan 
will discuss native dye plants you can grow, methods for dyeing fibers and 
fabrics, and will show examples. Cost: $7-$10/person self-determined sliding

Home Improvement Scams

In this FREE Consumer Issues Program, NYS Assistant Attorney General Mike 
Danaher will discuss how to recognize and avoid typical home improvement scams, 
and what to do if they happen to you. After his presentation, members of the 
public may consult individually with Attorney Danaher on consumer issues they 
have been unable to resolve locally.  Please arrive by 12:30pm for a 
consultation. Presentations are videotaped for broadcast on Public Access

Parents Apart(r)

Parents Apart(r) is a six-hour workshop for parents who want to learn how to 
help their child(ren) adjust during their separation or divorce. The workshop 
is taught by therapists and attorneys and focuses on how children react 
emotionally to their parents' separation or divorce, and what parents can do to 
help them adjust. Registration is confidential and parents of the same 
child(ren) are placed in different workshops. Workshop is offered on: (1) 
SATURDAY, 9:00am-4:00pm with a 1-hour break OR (2) consecutive MONDAY evenings, 
6:00-9:00pm. Cost: $60-$100, self-determined sliding-scale. Reduced rates
