Dear Biodieselers, could someone suggest a good place in Melbourne
Australia to purchase Methanol and NaOH at reasonable prices? To start I
would only be looking for a few litres of methanol and a few hunderd grams
of NaOH, but would also be able to supply larger quantities in the future?

Hello Martin, Ted and all
Martin, thanks so much, that's wonderful. Now THAT'S an archive! What
an improvement!
Seems a bit callow to suggest further improvements, but you did ask! So...
I reckon Ted's right about boolean operators, and currently it's just
OR, not AND. But maybe there's a sim
Martin,
The column header feature is nice, as is the ability to use of multiple
words, in the form of an 'OR' statement as in 'ethanol OR efficiency OR
distillation'.
But what I was referring to, in my previous post, was to use a boolean 'AND'
operator to get only those posts that contain all of
Hey Ted
You can search for multiple words
try searching for "ethanol efficiency distillation" - order of the words does
not matter. You may notice that you can click on the column headers as well,
this will sort the results in ascending order. click on it again and it will
sort in descending order
Martin,
Would it be too much to ask for the addition of a wildcard feature to your
archive? This is to say, could you add the ability to search for posts that
contain more than two terms, as in a search for posts that contain all the
words in a list, such as 'ethanol and efficiency and distillati

Martin,
Absolutely outstanding archive. Perhaps the best I've ever used. And
blisteringly fast too.
Hopefully this performance will not degenerate as more lists are added.
Good Work!

Well, I am going to add a 'paging' feature on the search so you only get a
maximum amount of 50 or so lines, and you can go to the next page of results to
get the next 50.

Looks Great! One comment - it seems to need a big scroll down to get to the

Thanks!

Electric motors? a diesel/electric hybrid? Sounds like a great idea to me.
Electric conversion components can be pretty expensive however. I wish I had a
vehicle to experiment with. Large trucks and buses sometimes have alternators
as large as 150 amps, I bet you could use a few of these to charge
Thanks for all your work.

even if you use an electric preheater (the current draw, the current draw),
you will still need the shutdown on biodiesel (preferred over diesel) for
the solvent/cleaning of the injectors, filters, etc. engine life is degraded
if svo is left in the system. might as well do the whole startup/shutdo
I wonder if anyone else has the same problem as I do.
The problem is reading the digest, and other postings, where the "history"
has been retained from what seems a never ending number of posts.
What should be a 5 line reply suddenly becomes a volume of post and counter
post history.
Would it be
