I agree with you, Pierre. If biodiesel is processed correctly, the
remaining methanol should be stripped during the wash phases, so you
can legally state that it will not be used for on road purposes.

I am poring over the specs on a singleor dual tank system to run WVO. Anyone
know of a manufacturer who makes a tank to fit in the spare tire well? I
have a 2000 Golf and thought this would be a good idea, as it would not take
up the cargo/trunk areas in eithe Golfs or sedans like Jettas, etc.
Pierre,
I'm taking the liberty of posting this response on list for general perusal.
Could trans-fatty acids be the source of the middle layer?
Rather doubtful. We've taken vegetable shortening
(partially-hydrogenated/trans-fatty acids) and made perfectly clear
biodiesel without problem one.
Keith,
Apologies for not replying to your message below. When I previously opened
your message, it appeared that 'Hi' was all you had written. The more
recent note from Tilly suggested there was more to your response, which made
me go back and scroll down to see a very thoughtful response.
For some reason . I thought I should post this here

I would respectfully disagree with your assessment.
You say: I would not recommend those kind of intervals for those of us
burning fossil fuels much of teh time and/or using mineral based oil in
