True enough. Maintenance is key. (With everything we do. House, car, garden,
relationships...) In my experience, the gear box gave out before the tubing
did. (Kinda odd) Still, I would expect the tubing to last one heating season.

oils were/are being tested/used by the larger
utilities. A quick google on bio-based transformer
oil will bring a bunch of hits.
