What about copper in the condenser? Would some copper in the methanol kill
the fuel. Or does it not dissolve in methanol?
Another reactivity question; how about sweated [lead free
solder}copper piping and brass valves for plumbing on a processor ?
Thanks for all the info

Hello.
I have a problem with my new processor. I asked the person who was selling
it if it was self priming and he responded yes, it could even suck water
from 6meters. Ofcourse I didnt believe him, but I hotught that it
probabbly could manage 40 cm. Well it cant. And #305; have already
mounted
Has anyone tried biodiesel on a fiat multijet engine. I have a punto with
a 1.3L multijet engine, its very quiet and I can go 890km with 44L of
diesel.
Will i have any problems if i try biodiesel?
Thank you in advance

Here is some info on the engine, it was previously on the list. (its

You can find one from an old fridge...
The compressor. Black thingie...
Mine cort me about 3$ at the junk yard.
You can use it for sucking and pumping...

In urban conditions I obviously dont have too much access to dung. But
what i do have access to is an university canteen. Lots of food wasted
there. Has anydbody porducede methane form food scraps? I could collect
from there. And put in to the digester. Has anybody done this?
How should i
Does anyone produce methane in urban conditions?
Can i produce enough methane to run my car? How large a processor would i
need and what could i feed it with? Old newspapers and food scraps and
grass once in a while from the appartments garden...
For the car im thinking of large tank that i
I have an old petrol car (75 mercedes 230.4) converted to LPG recently.
But In the last few months the price of LPG has started to rise. I am
wondering if it is possible to use methane instead of LPG?
I have a fridge compressor that I can compress the methane in to tanks,
the could I just
I'm constructing a fully automated processor using a plc and sensors.
I have some valves that can be operated by the plc. What sensors could I use?
What kind of sensor could i use for detecting when the processor is full
of wvo.
Ill use pressure sensor and a thermometer to keep the process
Thanks, what price range are these filters? And cant you find them
elsewhere? What industry are they used in?

Teoman,
I use a filter of RACOR to seperate the water from the biofuel. When

What method can I use to separate the %50 water %50 bd mix after washing.
I suppose adding a valve to the middle of the tank wont be precise enough.

Do they have NOS for diesel cars too???
If you really want more oxidation, NOS kits have come way down in price.
This really is the best/safest way to add oxygen to an engine.

Those sound more complicated. I live in a large city and not toomany plants
around :(
what other use is there? Say i do a proper methanol recovery. Or what do i do
with it? Flush down the drain? Maby i could install a system to use it as
toilet flush that way it would clean the toilet a bit
But isnt the mixing period long enough? Say you mix for a whole day would it
still be uneven?
What im really asking is this caused because of mechanical factors or because a
chemical reaction takes place, too much methroxide exposed to too little oil...
Just trying to get a better understanding
It is not heat related. The batch was fairly cool at the time.
I dont think that it is methanol evaporating or dissolving either since it
occurs also after / during the second wash.
Ps. Virgin corn oil was used. And no methanol recovery was used.

What does one need to watch out for when trying a small batch in a large
processor?
The things that i can think of are:
1. The resistance, heater should never get in contact with air, or it will over
heat, explosion.
One has to calculate the volume in the pump and hoses aswell.
2. The pump
4) With my limited understanding of physics it would seem that if one where to
suck the contents of a container out, one would have to allow air or some other
substance back in to fill the void (ie one hole only in an oil can - you
wouldn't be able to pour it). As this applies to meth
I dont want to sound paranoid but, the petrol giants might do something bad.

Can this increased methanol be recovered back out? Or is it harder?
