[Biofuel] hydrogen and biodiesel
I was reading a research paper that indicated that loading vegetable oil with Hydrogen would have much the same effect as using an acid for transesterfication. If this is the case, would it be more cost effective to use Hydrogen? It seems steps could be eliminated or made simpler. [Biofuel] castor oil

Animal fat (tallow) has a different chemical make-up than vegetable oil. You need to do much more purification. You get soap (glycerin) like results with vegetable oil, just not as much. I think that if you use a stronger caustic agent to separate mixture components, you may have more success.
