I meant the ph of the BD is at 5.5 not the wash water.
The BD should be around 5.5 and the wash water around
7-7.5 (neutral) when wash is complete.

I have been letting my BD sit for a couple weeks to
precipitate the soap/salts out of the BD. After
filtering (even though it was clear as refined apple
