Mazda make a 626 diesel (I had a 1992 one). They are interesting because
they use a Brown-Boveri Supercharger. This unit uses gas velocity to charge
the cylinder with air, was a really tractable engine, even if the power
drops off quickly when the revs go up. They were economical too.
