Dear All-
Does anyone out there have a creative off the shelf idea for a total condenser
(methanol recovery)? I'm thinking about building an air-cooled type, but I
was wondering if anyone had a better solution?
Also, where are some other sources to get methanol? I have a local racing
fuel
-$250 price
range have Noryl(r) impellers. The question: can I get away with a plastic
impeller for long period (say about 5 years) or will it get attacked by the
methoxide/methanol solution.

I can seem to find are either for use in cars or are much more than we need.
Does anyone out there have a source for a centrifuge that can process about
5-10 gpm?

Dear All-
I have a really quick question here: The Phenopthalein solution I use
is a
1% in IPA (reagent grade from Sigma-Aldrich). This should be appropriate for
titrating WVO with a 1 normal (1g/l) solution of NaOH in DI water, with the
comversion being 1mL of NaOH added corresponding to
