You can use the getBBox() method as in the example below:
textObjWidth = parseInt(textObj.getBBox().width)
textObjHeight = parseInt(textObj.getBBox().height)

that it works on ASVG3 and Squiggle.
How can I calculate? if the width of leters is different. I want to
