each time, used jar xvf to unpack the zip file, then uploaded the

yes, this looks like corruption in at least one the jar files. I am
using a hosted service for the servlets and the coruption is also
killing the tomcat instance as it tries to load. As I think two jars
may be at fault, I am continuing to proceed with caution.
