Jukka, I wouldn't put anything like 199? in the list. It would look a
little untidy. If you really don't know when a game was copyrighted, you
could research it via Google or simply ask us. I'm pretty sure the
collaborative knowledge here can fill many blanks.
Don't forget MobyGames as well. We're pretty anal about release dates
(we have to be!).

Well that was just an example. '90s is probably quite easy to uncover
But there might be something from early 1980s that one doesn't have
exact knowledge on.
Like Softporn Adventure bluewhite folder (I always use this as an example
for everything ;).
BTW I was able to make a somewhat reconstruction of it;
this is for my all-Sierra collecting list so that's why it's so tiny in web
(though the original quality isn't too good so a bigger
doesn't show much more detail either):
http://koti.mbnet.fi/psychic/pics/gamecollection/sierra_old_banner_softporn2
jpg

In reality it doesn't look quite like that since I had to edit some
(lower and left) parts (there shouldn't be so much focused white on the left
though).
Though I don't even know what its picture represents as a whole :P
The texts at least are exactly the same and in the right place
as they're the same as in the more common version.
Here's a bigger one:
http://koti.mbnet.fi/psychic/pics/temp/softporn_online.jpg
I think there are hundreds of naked ladies in the background
(or is that just my imagination :) and there's a Casino on the left
(which doesn't show in this one).
Anyone having more ideas?

FYI, I'm out for the next 3 days and may not be on-line.

Okay the next and last column is Year. This is one I think we can
remove if
it is too much work for anyone, but the info is useful and it may help
differentiate two games with different copyrights.

If we do include year, this is how I do it:

First of all it MUST be the copyright year. I don't want the year you
think
it was released in. It should be the year printed on the disk, manual
or in
the game as the copyright year. 4 digits -- i.e. 1983

If there is more than one year given it should be the earliest year in 4
digits, a dash, and the latest year in two digits -- i.e. 1983-85

Even if it lists multiple years in the manual (i.e. 1983, 1984, 1985), I
just want the first and last year -- i.e. 1983-85

  What do you guys think?

  1) Do you have this information for your games?
  2) Do you want to include it in the guide?
  3) Is the format above OK?

  Hugh
