Hi everyone, some of you may know me already... for
those who don't I'm a huge game fan who's #1 gaming obsession is Ultima :)
I've been a member of the group for a little while now but haven't posted yet
since I didn't have too much useful insight to add to previous threads.
That being
Heehee, I didn't know anyone else here appreciated Wacky Packages ;) I have

In a
message dated 01/29/2003 11:50:00 AM Central Standard Time,
RG is on the Ultima Collection CD. There are also
other RG / U9 related movies that were included with various magazine cover
discs. If anyone's dying to know which I'll flip through them...

I also have another Origin promotional tape, that was distributed to
software stores circa 1989. They are cheaply made advertisements for old
Origin games like Windwalker, Knights of Legend, 2400 AD, and another (no
Ultima tho.)
I bought from them once (not on eBay but from their
website). It was a *supposedly* new shrinkwrapped FM-Towns Ultima VI. I opened
it up only to find the CD was missing :( To their credit they offered a
refund or to send me another game that I was interested in. Not the worst buying
OMG! I'm hoping it's the book since I have it (and the second edition... and
two versions of the third edition...). I DON'T however have that particular
KQ Collection. I'm glad the Sierra collections are valuable, I just wish
they'd refrain from hitting insane prices until *after* I get them all
Josh,
All I have to say is welcome and...

I can actually answer this one... If you look at
the unfolded card on Tom's page you can see the discoloration at the top of the
light side (where the title is). When the card is closed along the horizontal
fold the top section overhangs, leaving that sectionexposed.

Well I know of yours (complete), Tom's (missing box reg card), Edward's
(missing reg card), the one from the auction (cassette only), one that was
the source for a cassette image that popped up a few months back, two I
can't really discuss, and another two that are quite possible but
unconfirmed.
Sounds like the EA Sports 4-Way Play adaptor for Sega Genesis. It was sold
separately and was used for most of their sports games from about 1994 on.

Veramocor was the word of passage for the Codex

Just
Don't worry Tom, I saved a copy (just too funny not
to). It's saved as a Web Archive (MHT) file, which includes all pictures,
etc.
Speaking of Canadian pennies THEY will be rare
soon... They cost 2 cents each to make so the Canadian Mint isgoing to get
ridof them in favor of new threenies
Yup, $765 is kinda pricey. Anyone have $100 and a time machine?

PS - As for the NEW owner of the Drash I do believe I saw him around here
somewhere...
The Ultima RPG pen paper project would
have used simplified versions of the algorithms used for combat and spell
resolution in the Ultima V. It was intended to sell in the same sized box as
the computer series and had a projected price of $30. A lot of work was done on
the project, but
Well... if a cassette only Drash averages $800, and a (mostly) complete copy
sells for $3605... I'd say the box is worth roughly $2000, and the manual
roughly $800. So an imaginary shrinked Drash should fetch at least $50...
Put me down for 2 :-P

Actually Sierra was even worse with
recycling Ultima art than that... The UI Original / Mt. Drash
cover art was originally used as the back of the Ultima II box.

I loved this one:
Kirk: And you can't pick up an
AK-47 and go killhey, those aliens on the top row, you use them in EGM

EGM: Yeah, we use them to end our articles.
They do kinda look like they're from Space Invaders, don't they?
Tim: They're going to sue you.
