Hi,
Does anybody know whether the Postfix checks reject_unknown_client_hostname [aka Reject
the request when 1) the client IP address-name mapping fails, 2) the
name-address mapping fails, or 3) the name-address mapping does not match the
client IP address] follows actually any requirement
Hi,
They only have two DNS servers in the same subnet, and the subnet is
unreachable from here. It works where it's still cached in the DNS.

Hi,
How does this affect Blacklist- and Whitelist vendors or organisations like
dnswl.org or our swinog blacklists ?

Hi
The only problem which ich see is when a nonprofit office make
adverstisement for a profit office. But i think this is legal here in
switerland.
I don#39;t think so in the case of Switch, Billag and any other
monopol organisation with an official mission from switzerland.
Btw ... AFAIK
Hi Dan,
Hmm, switch itself is a SIMSA member, so I guess no.

Finally we all loose, if lot of ISPs and hosters have to close their
doors because webhosting
and mailhosting is not able to finance the ADSL business anymore.
Switch, you have an offical mission from BAKOM, please only do what you
should do, and nothing else. Thank you !

Hi,
It’s completely different about that what RP is offering.
ReturnPath is listed as cooperation partner so I guess they are
exchanging their 'whitelists'.
The business model behind this whitelisting services pushes e-mail into
a paid by the byte model.
Senders pay (by different models)
Hi,
Linux/BSD and Webmin will do the job. I've got also a 30 page step for
step manual
somewhere for it.
And no, webmin was terrible years ago, but got really mature, at least
the bind part.

Hi,
That feature is in stock sendmail. It's called the greet_pause ruleset.
FEATURE(`greet_pause', `5000') dnl 5 seconds
causes the MTA to wait 5 seconds before greeting. You could also use
3 to make it be 30 seconds, though usually 5 is plenty.
The problem here is that sendmail
Hi,
If this happens you definitly need a filter BEFORE those spams
reach your mailserver. Have a look at http://antispam.imp.ch
and maybe try out during a month for free our product mxgate which protects
you against those attacks.

Hi,
I can't believe that even Exchange would be unable to do a retry - there
are plenty of situations where a server might return a temporary 45x
error.
The error isn't easy to reproduce. It seems that some conditions are
necessary. It might be a race condition.
Exchange never managed it to
4. remove MS Exchange as its unable to fulfill internet capabilities.
or
5. use a smarthost instead of connecting MS Exchange directly
to the internet :-)

Hi Marc,
Two tickets we opened monday at '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' are still open
and unanswered.
One of them was 'Cablecom Inter-ISP contact person needed'.
We definitly need a contact there. The current situation is a mess
and the cablecom helpdesk totally useless for us ISPs.

Hi all,
The IP 194.209.131.192 seems to be from the swisscom-mobile
block 194.209.131.192 - 194.209.131.223. And it seems this server
is listed in two blacklists.
Looks like this is swisscoms wireless service.
And they are also listed in spamhaus.org.
