issues with them, but in general they are solid boxes:

I just checked ebay for BeroNet boxes and found that there is really a lot...
maybe it is helpful to check with a cheap small box before going for the big

It does all you want, up to 6 SIM slots, SIP routing, SMS via REST-API
and there is an "app marketplace" where you can install OpenVPN as
