[swinog] zyxel 2802 as bridge
hello swinog has anyone collected experience with a zyxel 2802 ROuter used as modem (mode bridge)? I can't get it to work, with routing it finally works, but as bridge with my old good pfsense it won't work does someone know where is the trick? I've already upgraded the firmware... silvan ___ swinog mailing list swinog@lists.swinog.ch http://lists.swinog.ch/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/swinog

[swinog] Cybernet Mailserver Problems was cybernet/swisscom - anti-spam measures and blacklists
There are other Problems too on the Cybernet Mailservers Mails take up to 5 hours for relaying! anyone can give more detailed news about this Problem? Regards Marco Fabian Wenk wrote: Hello Andre Andre Keller wrote: that it wasn't delivered... With 4xx Error he knows not until approx 4 days after he sent the mail. That seems not to good in my eyes... The timeout for a delivery warning back to the sender depends on the mailserver which tries to send out the e-mail. In the standard setup of Sendmail it does send a warning (informational) after 4 hours if there is a problems with delivery and will try for another 5 days. After that, If it could not be delivered, it will send back an error message to the sender. This can be adjusted with the following lines in the .mc file: define(`confTO_QUEUEWARN',4h) define(`confTO_QUEUERETURN',5d) Other MTAs should have something similar. bye Fabian ___ swinog mailing list swinog@lists.swinog.ch http://lists.swinog.ch/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/swinog -- For list-off Contact use: silicium (-at-) natural-geek.org PGP: 49F8 C29E 4F4E E438 BD69 0BCE D1DA 4B0C 7C32 C715 -BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK- Version: 3.12 GCS d-- s-:- a-- C++ UL+++ P-- L+++ E--- W++ N+ o K- w-- O-- M V- PS+++ PE++ Y+ PGP++ t 5 X++ R tv- b+ DI-- D+ G++ e+ h++ r y+ --END GEEK CODE BLOCK-- ___ swinog mailing list swinog@lists.swinog.ch http://lists.swinog.ch/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/swinog

i made the experience that traffic over TIX1 was affected, TIX2 router was up and running. we saw a high packet loss on our TIX1 neighbor like if their router's CPU was running constantly at 100%. this issue seems to be resolved since some hours, but i have the feeling that some prefixes are not correctly announced to external transits or peerings. some sites are not reachable via IP+. lets wait for some updates ,-) -steven Matthias Hertzog schrieb: Hi folks! Re: [swinog] Swisscom outage - details?
Die Techniker arbeiten jedoch mit Hochdruck an der Störungsbehebung Since 17.15 an increased DDOS transit traffic has been recorded within the Internet. Through this the IP+ service from Swisscom is also impaired. Swisscom assumes that it is a general disturbance on the Internet (www). The routers from Swisscom Switzerland such as our international peering points are currently working again. A router within the area of Zurich still shows performance disturbances. At the moment It is not foreseeable when these will be cleared. The technicians are still working on it with high pressure and priority. greetz -steven Steven Glogger schrieb: i made the experience that traffic over TIX1 was affected, TIX2 router was up and running. we saw a high packet loss on our TIX1 neighbor like if their router's CPU was running constantly at 100%. this issue seems to be resolved since some hours, but i have the feeling that some prefixes are not correctly announced to external transits or peerings. some sites are not reachable via IP+. lets wait for some updates ,-) -steven Matthias Hertzog schrieb: Hi folks! Hello Since 17.15 an increased DDOS transit traffic has been recorded within the Internet. mmh - can I see this somewhere within the internet ? I checked traffic-graphs from the major IXs ... also checked sans.org and so on - didn't see anything unusual elsewhere. Nothing on nanog. Through this the IP+ service from Swisscom is also impaired. Swisscom assumes that it is a general disturbance on the Internet (www). general? Maybe Ted Stevens (It's not a truck. It's a series of tubes) wrote this report?
