Re: [swinog] BGP problems at Cablecom?
With the Buisness Lines this sites work ok. I think is the old DNS Problem of Cablecom. The best way is you take an other DNS (not ns(x).Cablecom.net), then it will be worked. If you havn't an other Free DNS you write a Mail. I can give you a DNS for testing. Greetings X. Re: [swinog] BGP problems at Cablecom?
Hi Daniele! In my opinion, it makes no sense to use DNS that are not near. Normally, the caching-only DNS from the direct uplink/feed should be used. I understand, that CC DNS seem not to give correct answers, but using foreign DNS should only be a temporary solution to that problem. If anyone needs swiss located caching-only DNS servers for a TEMORARY solution, please contact me off-list. RE: [swinog] BGP problems at Cablecom?
I was having trouble reaching my site at Q-X and other Swiss sites, too. But it seems to be back up now. Oddly enough, gmail started working about 30 minutes before everything else. The thing that cracks me up is, this was first reported on this list on Friday, and here it is Sunday, and CC still hadn't addressed it. Alacrity in customer service, indeed.
