Yes! Just don't use the CC DNS server. F.e. use 8.8.8.8 =)
It looks like that just the DNS servers are down or not running...

Hi there,
Maybe there are some Cisco specialists reading this List =)
On a WS-C3750X it tooks about 1 minute after connecting a port to change the
status from LINK-3-UPDOWN "up" to LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN "up"

Hi all,
Thanks for the input so far. I've merged all the input of you (and the
trunk/vlan configuration I need to use) and this is how the configuration
looks right now:
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1

switchport trunk native vlan 27

Hi everyone,
I've "compiled" all your input, here is the output:
The cables are all cat5e, which should be OK. But to be sure I've managed to
find a cat6 cable, but as expected, it did not change anything. So the cables
are not the problem.
Then I added "speed 1000" and "duplex full" to the tw

Hi,
Does someone know if there is a tool for linux which can send a
neighbor advertisement for a fast update of the neighbor table of a
router?
Like to good old "arping -U" for ipv4 which sends
gratuitous/unsolicited arp messages...
Have a nice evening!

Hi list
Is anyone of you using Gerty (https://github.com/ssinyagin/gerty) instead of
Rancid for doing network gear config backup? If yes, is it worth a try?
And for doing mass-config-updates on many switches, is it also usable?
Thanks for every input =)

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know what happened to the website www.swinog.ch? It just
serves a "Default Parallels Plesk Panel Page".
Looking back at past meeting dates on archive.org it would have been
time for another meeting at around November, but I think there was
nothing announced. I'm wonder

Dear SwiNOG,
I'm looking for a /24 PI IPv4 prefix to use for my private project. Has anyone
of you an idea where I can get one without becoming a poor man?
Thanks for all suggestions...
Cheers,
Tobias
PS: Yes I know, I'm a bit late in the IPv4 PI game

Hi everyone,
Me too: Thanks for organizing SwiNOG #28 and the BEER.
As for the presentation part: I'm willing to give some more "hands-on-like"

open-source land. For the next time I could prepare a presentation about Vy

We're using Knot, that's a great authoritative DNS server. And we
created some CI/CD magic around zonefile management: A Gitlab CI jobs
