N.B.: We have TWO SLOTS STILL OPEN and we have yet to hear from anyone willing to take on the annual PIRATE RADIO session that has been a part of every Fest up until this year.
The 37th “Winter" SWL Fest will be held two months later this year on May 10-11, 2024. By moving the dates to a warmer time of year, we’re hoping that we now can reintroduce the in-person Fest while maintaining Zoom access for those who can’t or don’t want to travel or be in a meeting/convention environment. So consider this edition something of an experiment. The Fest forums are still the centerpiece of the event where knowledgeable presenters conduct sessions on radio-related (SW, MW, amateur, LW, etc.) matters during which they share their expertise with and enthusiasm over a favorite topic or activity. Doing this over the ZOOM platform as well as in-person will likely attract a worldwide audience — and keep open this opportunity to potential presenters worldwide. If you wish to be a part of the 37th Winter SWL Fest by presenting a forum — whether by Zoom or in-person — please contact me at the e-mail address below and pitch your topic. We’d like to have these in hand by March 21, 2024 and will return an answer to your proposal almost immediately.
