The "strange reason" is a well understood design decision in the engine
that is, however, non obvious and leads frequently to this type of
behavior for client applications.
It is also patched in Subversion already.

The output includes:
The Genealogy of Jesus Christ
(before verse 2)
The Birth of Jesus Christ
(before verse 19)
both of which are titles supplied
