clucene search is done per-document. With the way the indexing is set up, each document is a single verse. Thus, a proximity search is only within the document/single verse. I could be wrong about this, but I'm fairly positive that this is correct. I have looked at the lucene syntax quite a bit

Bible Desktop/JSword (thus AlKitab and FireBible) have proximity searches across verse boundaries. The syntax is reminiscent of Lucene, but a bit different. Aaron ~3 Moses will find all verses with Aaron within 3 verses of Moses. If I may ask, how do you implement this with lucene? Is it
