SymPy has been accepted into Google's Season of Docs program again this year.
This year, Jeremy Monat will be working with SymPy to improve the

Thank you again for your patience. We received over 440 technical writer
applications, so there is quite a lot of enthusiasm from the technical
writing community. Every single organization received multiple technical
writer project proposals!

We don't have any additional proposal guidelines beyond the default ones.
However, I would highly recommend not skipping the optional section for
including work samples (it can also be docs work done on SymPy if you have
contributed).
