I don't undestand what you are trying to do. What is "coredump"
supposed to be in your case?

Please consider inquiring your downstream distribution for help first,
possibly in a french language forum of your distribution first. They
are probably better to help you, as locate/dnf and such things are not
systemd concepts.

Your problem is not systemd related.

You keep writing to this mailing list with your general issues and people keep
telling you to approach your distribution or one of the many places on the
internet that will help you with random technical issues - this place is not it.

Please.

  Dorian,

You have made a mistake in the configuration file. And this is clearly
 stated in the error message.

Anyway, you are emaling this list constantly with issues which are
not related to systemd development. From the archives, I see you even
encountered abrasive individuals like Reindl, whose emails are
 blacklisted by many.
Please, stay on topic. If you need help wth your system, go to the
support forums of the distribution you use. Continuing to send offtopic
mails here will cause you to be killfiled and receive no help
 whatsoever.

why ?

Could it be that dbus dies (unexpectedly), and systemd needs dbus to work?
Maybe enabling coredumps could help finding out why dbus quits.

Ulrich

as there is pretty clear at least one config error in the message

Objet : [systemd-devel] How to debug occasional hashmap corruption?

Hi,

During the past half year I have seen systemd dump core three times due
to what I suspect a hashmap corruption or race.
Each time it looks a bit different and is triggered by different things
but it somehow centers on hashmap operations.

What would be the prefered way to debug this? I cannot add huge logging
as this is something that happens once in a blue moon and always in
different compute nodes.
Is there some way I could easily test it by increasing the chance of
such
corruption/race happening?

The systemd version we currently have is 238 and the linux kernel is
4.14.69

Here is the latest coredump trace of the problem.

About systemd-devel

This is the main systemd mailing list. The place where technical stuff
is discussed. Since this is the only mailing list we currently have,
it's also OK to direct user questions to this mailing list, but please
keep it technical.
