MM controversy. What controversy? I just saw a Marion Jones American Express Checks
commercial on
TV.
Not quite right. I talked to Stacy afterwards. She said that she asked for the
bar to go to 476 but it went to 481 by mistake. If this is indeed true, and I
have no reason to believe otherwise, then she CAN have the bar lowered for three
attempts at the height she originally wanted. As I was
Right, but which Charlie do you believe? Charlie then or Charlie now?
What I'm saying is that IF (a very big if) Charlie has now seen the light
thanks to watching Marion and Tim compete clean, then it is not unreasonable
to conclude that the old Charlie was either untruthful or simply wrong,

They are crazy, from Graham. Asked Monday if he still felt that way,
Graham said, Yes they are, man.
Who still talks like that?
I don't know where that stuff is coming from, Graham said. To my
knowledge, Tim never worked with Charlie.
The jilted spouse is always the last to know.
Can anyone provide me with some (scientific) references which discuss
limits on anaerobic exertions, particularly in sprinting. I have a few
which propose that the average limit is about 30s (or roughly 270-280m for
a sprint), but I'm interested to know if anything different has been
claimed

31:05 for 10k...not too shabby at all. This likely made him the fastest

almost surely the best astronaut was Ed White, one of the original group.
He was 4th in the 400H in the '52 NCAA (for Army; after graduation moved
over to the Air Force). non-qualifying 4th in his heat in the OT that year.

My thanks to the multiple track freaks who are also astronaut freaks!
My misreading of the Ed White bio on the NASA site. He wasn't one of the
seven *original* (i.e., Mercury astronauts). He was one of the 9 in the
Gemini program, which I guess came next.
So, seguing to movie trivia, who did
Going back a few posts...

No disrespect intended to Phil, but I expect a somewhat more concrete

More importantly,

Some U.S. track officials are also disturbed that Jones and Montgomery
would choose to work with a Canadian coach -- whether he has a good
reputation or a bad one -- as the move seems to suggest there is a
dearth of qualified coaches in the United States.
