I think, and hope, that track fans DO hold their athletes to a higher
standard than fans of professional baseball and football do. It's our only
hope. I like the fact that most track athletes are NOT spoiled millionaires

Show me the money. What happened to attendance during that "crisis"? That word
is funny btw. Iraq, North Korea and the shuttle can each be called a crisis.

You're right. Up until now MJ has been a media

teflon-like abilities, coming out of the CJ Hunter

interesting to see how she fares this time around.

This is obviously not a very good scientific sample but I don't think
anyone on this list would behave any differently with respect to their
appreciation of the sport. Hands up those that would. Probably no fan of
the sport generally either. If they do behave differently, what thought

A disservice is done to those who want nothing to do with CF by saying
"that's not really the issue here". Believe me, I have seen the
messages, both offlist and on. There are 2 issues here. The bidness one
and the ethical one. I think a strong case can be made that by allowing

So, does this mean we'll actually see more than 2 laps of the 10K, or
does it mean NBC will show more the "soft & fuzzy" crap? If it's the
latter, I can promise a brick will get thrown through my TV (or maybe
at an NBC executive).
Trying to remember I'm a pacifist,
