release meets IAAF requirements. It is also not
clear exactly what the IAAF
considers USATF's role to be now that USADA is in
charge of testing. It
seems to me that USATF should be serving as an
athletes'
, USATF, USOC, IAAF and
WADA. The sanction, if any, will then be made public
by the USADA or USATF.
To sum it up, the IAAF is kept in the loop once a
double positive occurs, but only a sanction is made
public after the athlete has a hearing. I hope this
clarifies the process.
