Hi,
I would like to propose a new tag for Ablution (ritual purification).
Wikipedia says that that there's Ablution in Islam, Christianity and
Judaism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ablution and worship sites usually
have an area set aside for this.

In this photo http://www.mapillary.com/map/im/idFfQ3kADwqnRL25JEF78g

landmark up ahead at the entrance to the housing project that resembles
an arch. It's quite a prominent landmark in an area which is otherwise
devoid of any
If you want to map the whole area, maybe the best way is to use this

That is an excellent question. This arch is quite large but there are many
other similar structures in villages all over Thailand. I have seen many of
them but have never tagged any. There is a barrier=archway used twice in
Taginfo but the ones I've seen are not barriers in the usual sense of that
FWIW, I traveled extensively in New Zealand a few years ago and there an
ablution block (or ablution area) is a place in a campground where one
washes things — dishes, clothing, etc. That definition of ablution is also
a sort of purification, I reckon.

Hi,
there have been requests to include the tag smoothness=* in the JOSM
presets [1]. Everywhere the user can fill in surface=*, we would add an
additional option for smoothness=*. Apart from the value (excellent,
good, ...) we would include the explanation from the wiki into the

We are supporting `smoothness` in iD. Now as of a month ago, we display
friendlier (and translatable) text descriptions for these kinds of dropdown
fields. (e.g. sac_scale, track type, trail_visibility, etc)
When I added these last month, I did borrow heavily from the descriptions on

I also agree with Mateusz. I would like to see use of the smoothness tag
become more universal so building it into a JOSM preset sounds like a good
idea.
However, as others have said, the topic has had much discussion but little
agreement on exactly how to determine the value. A highway that has
