[Tagging] MyPlace self-storage facilities
Is there a clue how to tag such self-storage facilities (eg. MyPlace): http://www.myplace.at/de/where_is_myplace/vienna/hietzing.html Taginfo finds: 94shop=storage_units 46shop=storage 16shop=self_storage (plus some typos/uppercase/withspace) /al ___ Tagging mailing list Tagging@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
Re: [Tagging] MyPlace self-storage facilities
I notice there are also 209 amenity=storage: http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/compare/amenity=storage/shop=storage/shop=storage_units/shop=self_storage Though I can't guarantee they refer to these self-storage places (could be private storage if not shop?), some of the UK items definitely are. And it feels kinda amenity-like... Dan 2014-07-04 10:26 GMT+01:00 Andreas Labres l...@lab.at: Is there a clue how to tag such self-storage facilities (eg. There are also some amenity=self_storage, BTW: http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/compare/amenity=storage/amenity=self_storage/shop=storage/shop=storage_units/shop=self_storage We probably should fix one as the correct one for those self-storage facilities (and put this into the wiki). /al (nice new taginfo feature learned... :) ___ Tagging mailing list Tagging@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging

[Tagging] Feature proposal - Power transmission refinement - RFC 2
Hi, I spent a little more time this week on the power transmission proposal. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Power_transmission_refinement Here are the summary of the modifications I made. Most of this come from feedbacks left by all during the first vote, I hope it will get us on a stronger consensus. * Additional and misc things got their own primary tag power=marker power=junction instead of using line=* https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Power_transmission_refinement#Aditionnal_stuff * tower:type is already used a lot with man_made=tower tower=* and pole=* got some values to replace tower:type=termination and transitions like tower=air_to_ground or tower:type=air_to_ground Read more about values to be replaced https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Power_transmission_refinement#Values_to_be_replaced * A few explanations about voltage determination at a glance https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Power_transmission_refinement#voltage.3D.2A_determination * A few more IEC definitions were added to give better sense to neutral, ground conductor and circuit. * design=* can now include operator's internal references to enable 3D renderers to plot pre-designed-props (for example) corresponding to some national standards. * Finally, the two values minor_line and minor_cable, due to the arbitrary voltage threshold which may be different for every contributor, should be replaced by power=line + voltage=* or power=cable + voltage=* to let every consumer to set up its own threshold. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Power_transmission_refinement#overhead_power.3Dline A second vote may take place next days if there's no more question or constructive critics.
