[Tagging] Religious mural painting

2017-11-05 Thread demon.box
Hi, excuse me, how can I correctly tag this type of mural painting?

It's not a "normal" mural painting, in italian we call it "Affresco votivo"
(votive fresco).
It's a religious type of mural painting, symbol of faith and devotion.

I think this:

tourism=artwork
artwork_type=mural
denomination=catholic
religion=christian

It could go well?
What do tou think about it?
Thanks.

Re: [Tagging] Religious mural painting

2017-11-05 Thread Volker Schmidt
I have tagged in the past these kind of religious paintings as
historic=wayside_shrine
even though they where not separate buildings.
I agree that the mural tagging is better.
The only thing I would remove is the denomination tag, which only makes
sense for religious buildings. The mural in question is clearly Christian,
but I'm sure that it would be also be greeted with veneration by
non-catholic Christians.

Re: [Tagging] Retag: craft=sweep => craft=chimney_sweep

The aftermath of the (IMHO very unnecessary) change:

We now have

- 62 chimney_sweeper

- 36 sweep

- 1 chimney_sweep

and one confused chimney sweep

Re: [Tagging] passage only on low tide

2017-11-05 Thread Jerry Clough - OSM
This seems a good place to use the hazard key. There are a limited number of
instances of hazard=tide.
There's no reason why post-processing cannot append information about critical
hazards to names for rendering purposes, and thus we could avoid the spurious
information in the name tag.

How about Description: "Only passable 1.5 hours each side of low tide - check
daily tide times", possibly with a link to online tide info?
Thanks
