I don't think boundary=administrative is appropriate. I'd use landuse=residential name=* with no other tags for a simple subdivision. This ends up rendering reasonably: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=28.4285lon=-81.4944zoom=14layers=M These are civic recognized sub-areas and

I agree that the boundary relation is the correct way to do this. From the wiki, it appears that the 'label' role is accepted. Is it just that Mapnik hasn't gotten around to rendering this yet, or is there some other reason? I really should try and learn about Mapnik... Regards, -Josh On Fri,
