Here's the two steps that were sent to me. They do the trick. Becky works very well but you need to change two settings. In the Tools, General setup dialog on the Message View tab, uncheck the "Control four-way button with arrow keys" check box and the cursor will work when you are reading

I've had this happen when I entered the wrong login credentials. I made the mistake of allowing IE to save an old password, and thus the site would not accept my login even when I was entering the correct password. What worked for me was to delete the browsing history and to log in again
