just make sure the global volume is set to the highest setting for
everything then turn down the speaker volume and all will have the same
volume. the highest volume is volume 9 for my neospeech.
the log on screen does not use the same set files either.
after you are at the desktop open the w e control panel. there should be 13
items in the list of options. if not open the help menu and check show
advanced mode. then all 13 items will show.
now go to profiles and load the all yousers profiles. and set the volume
setting and save it to the level you want it to be. the default is full
volume. any changes you make with these set files including voices can be
changed and saved. the changes will only apply to your log on screen. now
once saved open profiles again and switch back to the default profile. now
when you log on the settings you made will be applied to the log on screen.

Hi Veronica,

I think you're saying that the volume at the login screen is louder than how
you configure it after you log in.
The easiest solution is to adjust the Window-Eyes volume you normally use so
that it matches the volume you hear when you are at the log in screen, and
then save this by pressing Control-S in the Window-Eyes control panel.
After doing this, adjust your speakers to a comfortable volume.
Once you do this, all the volumes will be the same everywhere.

Hth,

Rod

Subject: Settings different

Hello, I have been using this computer for several months and have been
poking around in the menues trying to figure out how to make my settings
stick.
When I turn my computer on each morning, the voice settings are a bit
different. Especially the volume, I have to reach up and turn it down every
time.
Any suggestions?
veronica
