The KNFB reader uses a camera in a phone or other divice to take a picture of a
document. Then, it performs optical character recognition (OCR) and reads the
content. Its strongest point is that it performs the OCR in such a way that it
can start reading very quickly. As Josh says

KNFB Reader for merely pennies on the dollar! I think that in a few years,
may be weeks and months, many blind folks in Android land will slowly begin
kissing the KNFB Reader goodbye! Heck, there's even one in Android land
