Hi Jo, Here are some notes I've created.
Hth, Rod How to configure Window-Eyes for use with Outlook First, you must install the set files for the most current version of Office or whatever version of Office you are using. This is done from the Factory Settings dialog, opened from the File menu within the Window-Eyes control panel. Indeed, Office 365 is the most accessible version of Office to use with any screen reader. At the time of this writing, Office 2016 is the most current version of Office, and it is the version included in Office 365. Then, install the Office Enhance app, and then the Outlook Enhance app, in this precise order. Even if the above two apps are already installed, you can reinstall them without uninstalling them. Note that a reboot is always required after installing the Outlook Enhance app. Next, make sure that the Outlook Enhance add-on isn't disabled within Outlook, as follows: >From the main Outlook window, press: alt-f, t, A twice, tab 4 times. Down arrow to disabled and tab to go and press enter. Next, arrow through, if something like Outlook Enhance is in the list, press space on it. Shift-tab to enable and press enter. Press Ok or close all dialogs you opened. Restart outlook. -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+rod_hutton=hotmail....@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Jo Talliaferro via Talk Sent: Saturday, May 6, 2017 4:10 PM To: 'Dave' <dlh...@centurylink.net>; 'Window-Eyes Discussion List' <talk@lists.window-eyes.com> Subject: Changing the subject to ask for help!RE: Window-Eyes Expertise As I am a long-time Window-Eyes user and have updated all apps, I just can't figure out why I can't get Virtual View to work for me. I'm confused about which options should be checked for writing an easy-to-read email which I can read back in Outlook 2016. When I try to read some of the messages I receive, I continue to get tables and columns which a message very difficult to discipher. On another note, I have noticed that Gw toolkit is still under the GW configuration and does not reflect that it is owned by AI squared. Can someone enlighten me? I have not been able to get Office 365 or Windows 10 Creater which I guess are supposed to work better with a more user-friendly interface. I appreciate any help you can give. Out of date and almost unusable when accessing today's internet, or Programs. Perhaps if the Code for Window Eyes is made to be Open Source code maybe and only then may Window Eyes have any sort of chance of hanging around longer. And since I am skeptical about VFO releasing the source code to the general public, unless VFO decides to do something to upgrade Window eyes, the days are numbered for it, just as the days were numbered when Microsoft said they were no longer supporting good ol' Windows XP.
