David,
I am experiencing some similar behavior. Was your computer one that was
upgeraded from Windows 7 to 10 and then to the Anniversary Edition? I am
looking at trying the PC Reset but have been holding back thinking I might
need to reinstall all my personal files, but maybe it is worth a try
If you are running Windows 10, you will have to pay $49 for the upgrade to work
on Win 10. Contact Window Eyes support with your serial number and they can
help you get the latest version.wesupp...@aisquared.com

Steve,
First, Loy's suggestion below is worth an attempt, as I'd hate to see
anybody going through a reset if doing so can be avoided. In my case,
running the diagnostics Loy describes did not solve the problem for me
but, if it does for you, it's a very quick fix.
With my computer, it was

Hi,
sorry for asking but, is window eyes installer in .zip format?

Nolan,
I'm not sure if I'm correct but I think that you may be on the right
track regarding a corrupted zip file. I would redownload the installer
and try running that
Have you tried to repair the windows 10 display driver from the apps menu,
diagnostics in Window Eye control panel?

If you have only 9.0, you should be able to upgrade to 9.5. Pam.

David,
I have tried the repair without success and have it on good authority that a
reset is necessary. I did not realize that leaving personal files would
still remove apps, though, so I appreciate that explanation. Using Narrator
is not a problem here so I have to just decide if it is
not really, as I think I did say, it is already running 9.0, and that is the
only disk version I have.

Don, when I experience this issue, I do the ctrl + bacslash turn off
the speech and then simply restart it by pressing the CTRL+ALT+W
to restart the speech and it works for me about 95 percent of the
time. Just a suggestion, Good Luck and Have A Good 1! de.

David,
Yes, I've already been in contact with AI Squared but you were the first
person I've read who has gone through the PC reset process which is why I
was interested in your comments. Thanks. I am a long-time Window-Eyes user
and have always appreciated their support.
Best regards,
Steve
It is free upgrade if you own a SMA, if not and you are running Windows 10
there is $49 upgrade charge.

I think I figured this out accidentally a few days ago, but I must be getting
part-timer’s disease. Anyone know how to do this? Using Windows 7, and a Dell
laptop computer with WE 9.5.3.
Thanks,
