Googld docs with screen reader

2019-07-23 Thread Martha via Talk
I am using Windows 10, Firefox, and NVDA.

I have a link to a google docs database. When I click on the link it
opens the database, but, I cannot get my screen reader to say anything.

Anybody have any advice?

The other thing Microsoft needs to do is, put back the shutdown sound in
windows 10.

when in the w e control panel open the apps tab notice that all of the apps
in

the list say they have a pull down.
when you find the windows enhanced it will say pull down. right arrow on it
and
the sub menus will open. one is toast booloons and run in safe mode.
pressenter
on run in safe mode to check it. the menu will close. if you want to check
it
to make sure its been selected open it again and it will say run in safe
mode

will say it has been checked.
even so it also depends on what sound card you are useing. my motherboard
has a

realtek sound card built in and it does work in safe mode and windows 7. i
don't know about win 10. the safe mode for win10 is useless as far as i am
concerned.
how do you boot into safe mode if win10 will not boot? wake up microsoft.
f8 with win10 is disabled. there is a way to re activate the f8 startup keys
but it doesn't allways work and you need a usb headphone or speakers to get
the

narrator speech to work.

Please pardon a stupid question. I do have windows enhanced on my
Windows 10 system. In Netbat's message, he refers to a dropdown list.
Specifically, where do I find this dropdown list? The only list I see is
the list of installed apps.

Thanks.

what windows version?

if windows 7 you press f8 while its booting. then arrow down once and
press enter. there is no speech for these menus.
windows 10 you have to find the option to boot in safe mode from the
windows settings somewher. and reboot. after you uninstall the program you
have to go back to the settings to turn off the boot in safe mode and
reboot.

I was trying to install some drivers today from a cd and it installed
avast, which doesn't talk and I can't remove it. I was thinking there was
a way to use we in safe mode, and I'm not sure how I get there. Is it f 7
or f 8, I don't recall. Any help appreciated.
