RE: problem with outlook html messages

2020-05-13 Thread Rod Hutton via Talk
Hi John,

I've returned our discussion back to the list since I responded to you
personally which is not necessary and not helpful to those who may be following
this thread.
I searched for default apps in Windows 10 settings and there is a setting
called:
Choose default apps,
If you open this, you can choose Internet Explorer and I found that it is the
default app for a number of items.
I'm not particularly adventurous and so I don't think I'll change any of these
settings.
It is clear, however, that if I click on links embedded in my html emails
Internet Explorer will open and attempt to open them.
Therefore, my claim that the Outlook Enhanced app is responsible is not correct.
I can honestly say that I don't know what is happening on your system, but you
can certainly use the setting I mentioned and explore the matter.
I hope this helps. Smile

Good luck,

Rod

OK, I guess that is what I will have to do -- too bad we don't have the
source. Also, are you noticing that the alt-tab or windows-tab is silent in
WE? It starts out working, but only for a few minutes and then its silent,
which makes it hard to do much.
