RE: pdf tables

2016-09-16 Thread CJ MAY via Talk
There is indeed an audio tutorial on using tables within PDF. Below are some
of the notes I took down regarding same:

Move to link: l

Move to heading; h

Move to table: t

Read tables in PDF:

go to table: t

Enable table mode: control-plus key

Read column header: ctrl-shift-h

Navigate through columns: insert right arrow key.

Move by rows: insert down arrow key.

Leave table: control minus key.

Navigate columns and rows: arrow keys

Jump to page: ctrl-shift n and then type page number.

Problems reading PDF document: save as a text document.

Hi Mike,

If the table is truly formatted as a table, then you use the CapsLock or
dedicated Insert key in conjunction with the dedicated arrow keys to move
among the cells.
However, unlike in web browsers or email programs, you must first enter
table mode using Control-Numpad-Plus.
Also, to exit table mode you would press Control-Numpad-Minus.

Hth,

Rod

I need to read a pdf file which seems to contain a large table. Is there a
tutorial or knowledge base file to help with this?

With thanks
