I thought I'd share A little tidbit that I've been finding useful lately
while editing. It's a WMS url for Toporama (aka geogratis data). It is
really nice for use in JOSM while tracing GPS tracks.

Trouble is, it uses a projection called NAD27 (found that with a bit
of googling) and it shows up a few metres off in JOSM. Any way to fix

Is there a way to find out why an area is not being rendered?
Not that I know of, but there's a way (tile by tile, unfortunately) to
ask it to rerender.
I did

I didn't include the accuracy_meters=* tag, but i could. I didn't feel it
necessary, since it's just a rectangle. And when you go an map more detail

Hi all,
There are a lot of unconnected ways, created when GeoBase road matcher
found a match with existing data and did not connect new nodes. With
the work I have been doing with distance maps, I have inadvertantly
found a way to speed up

Cool,
For the Saanich area (092b11), i've been dropping them in.
But i probably should be going in there and connecting the way to exising
data.
Yes, please :) It's much much easier to do when you're pasting the
roads in JOSM, versus

Having the uuids around also make it easier to talk about
differences/errors between OSM and geobase data. Someone can look
at a road in OSM and easily find the original GeoBase road (using
your favourite gis tool) and compare

It means I've got more work to do, but there should be less effort
after-the-fact, so I don't mind re-running the exports roadmatcher
bits. I might have the data in by the end of the week, given work
life all that jazz.

Is it worth asking if it possible
Hi all,
I'm working on importing (most of) the 082E tile, and the part of the
import process where you match roads in RoadMatcher is taking ages, even
though there's very little data in OSM for the area (the reason I picked
this tile, along with the fact that I used to live in the area). The

Hi Austin,
With the experience I have doing import and road capture with my GPS I came
to the conclusion that if the data is bad I would delete it. If I were the
