You can can route in North America too, e.g.

Also worth noting is last night's update to http://open.mapquest.co.uk/. We
added support for a few new languages, preliminary support for dragable
routes, scale bars
We're working on both these items.
First up will be getting the routing to daily updates - goal is ti have that
solved within the month.
