Re: [OSM-talk] Mapping/Naming mountain ranges, valleys, other geographic areas
That is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! Erik Try this: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Fuzzy Gorm E. Johnsen On Tue, Aug 10, 2010 at 9:23 PM, Erik G. Often these have names (and some have more metadata), but are not a clearly defined simple polygon. Do we map these at all? Re: [OSM-talk] Xastir (Ham Radio APRS program for Linux) now reads OSM maps
Fantastic! Thanks Andrew. Hi all, I have posted an announcement on the OSM Announce list, but in case anyone missed it I'd like to mention here that Xastir now has 'alpha' support for OSM map tiles. This is probably only of interest to radio amateurs, but it's good to see another 'consumer' of OSM data. You can follow the discussion thread here: http://lists.xastir.org/pipermail/xastir/2010-June/017939.html To use this new feature you will have to compile the latest version of Xastir from source (CVS). There are instructions for doing this at the Wiki. Here is one example: http://www.xastir.org/wiki/HowTo:Ubuntu_10.04 Best wishes, Andrew ___ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk ___ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
