That is the idea, if at least half of 20 people who will come to meetup
open account and if only 5 continue contributing that is a huge success

In fact it seams that almost everybody has google account but everybody

Hi,
we have found out that Google Wave has an excellent use as a wiki for
organizing mapping parties, especially for introducing new users to
OpenStreetMap.
Almost everybody has google account but not so many have OSM accounts so
introducing OSM via collaborating on OSM mapping party is easier

you don't tell interested

Maybe some people will be more interested in creating an account *after* or
*during* the meetup. I like the entusiasm, Valent. If you can manage to
introduce people to OSM who otherwise wouldn't be interested, this is
great. Maybe you can act as a liason between the interested parties on Wave
On a mapping party wiki page(or anywhere else), it's good to mention that
sign up isn't required, but it's good to know so the organisers expect
people and can make sure to get some GPSes if needed.
