I believe gecoder.ca already provides a method to collect postal codes from
citizens. I had a quick look at the website but it was not readily obvious to
me. I have sent them an email and when I get the response I will share it here.

It's been a while but I think I cleaned up this problem in New Brunswick.Another problem in New Brunswick are ways that share a node at a highway overpass. If there is a grade separation then the ways do not intersect and they should not share a node. I think this is related to the Canvec imports

As I see it there are 2 problems with these bridges:
1) they intersect with the roads that pass beneath them
2) the layer value is not set so the default value of layer=0 (ground)
