Re: [Talk-ca] [Talk-us] High-visibility Vests
For various reasons, the pattern used by vests in Canada (X on the back) is not particularly common in the US or Europe. Meeting a safety standard was a bit attractive so you can use them for other uses that don't care about the logo. I think some European countries require you to have a high-vis jacket in the car for when you break down. Some mappers in the UK like to wear high-vis when cycling, so use their OSM one even when not mapping. When the SotM12 venue is announced it might be could for all countries to see what the interest is and then let Andy Allan (of OpenCycleMap) know or someone do an order of several. Having them available at something like SotM is easier/cheaper than individual deliveries. After all, we're just mapping enthusiasts, not performing an official government sponsored duty in any manner of the word. Regardless, we could take a look through the vests at http://safetyvests.com/ and add on the $3 custom single-color silkscreen option with an OSM logo. ___ Talk-ca mailing list Talk-ca@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ca

I have about a dozen of them and am happy to lend them for mapping party purposes.
