On small village, here is how I'm doing it:
- use cadastre.openstreetmap.fr to generate the building .osm file
- open the file in JOSM
- use JOSM validator to detect inconsistencies (like overlapping building
polygons) and fix them
- check building position with the help of aerial imagery (BD
